VIVE ESPANA

Spain is still as popular today as a tourist desitnation as when it was first discovered.  It is one of the major european tourist destinations. Its cheap and relaxed lifestyle and exquisite landscape and beaches make it very popular for investing in property for a holiday home, relocation or retirement.

Climate
Spain is extremely hot during mid-summer, in July and August. The rest of the year the climate is generally temperate in the north, but warm in the south. The best time to visit is during spring or autumn, except for the Atlantic coast, which has heavy rains in October and November. August is the busiest month, while May and October are the best times for both ideal weather and fewer crowds. Madrid and the high central area can get very cold during winter.

Fiestas
Spain is the land of fiestas (party). In every single city, town and village there is a festival of some kind which gets all locals involved.

The most famous  festivals  are the bullrunning of Pamplona, the fireworks of Las Fallas in Valencia, the mock battles of Moros y Cristianos in Alcoy and the massive Feria de Abril in Seville.  In all of Spain you will find bullfighting, flamenco, music and wine festivals whilst in small towns you'll come across all kinds of strange festivals such as a paella festival, cake festival etc.
